CHALLENGE 4- "What's All the Blogging About?"

CHALLENGE 4- "What's All the Blogging About?"
Week of 3/31- 4/13

So what is a Blog anyway?

*  It's a weblog - it is a frequent, chronological post of personal thoughts and Web links.
It's a journal-  it is available on the web
*  The activity of updating a blog is “blogging” and someone who keeps a blog is a “blogger.”
Individual articles on a blog are called “blog posts,” “posts” or “entries."
Blogs focus on a particular “area of interest."

What should you blog about?

What are you passionate about?  Blog about it!.... Sports?  Music?  Running? Cooking?  Politics?
Be Original. Yes, there are other blogs out there about the same thing you want to write about- so be yourself!
*  Be "interesting!"  Be "yourself!" Be "honest!"
Find Your Voice.  Finding your voice makes your writing feel more alive, more real, more urgent.
Social Media. Yes, use Twitter and Facebook to help connect with readers and other bloggers.
Research. Spend your time researching what you’re writing about.
